A bomb Suppression Blanket is used to contain shrapnel and shards from devices. A blast containment safety circle that is set up on edge around the device is used in conjunction with a bomb blanket. The safety circle and bomb are then covered with the blanket. A bomb Suppression Blanket includes strong nylon handle straps that allow for safe placing over IEDs. The safety circle sends the blast's energy upward, into the sky, which is where the majority of the explosion's debris ends up.
